Things to do:

Issoudun was a pilgrimage town and still has some visible medieval roots. The museum of the Hospice Saint-Roche is well worth visiting and there is still a sixteenth century town gate standing, and also the famous White Tower, a distinctive high cylindrical edifice. Not far to the Loire, the Lot or Burgundy with chateaux and vineyards all around.

Master Chef of France, Mr. Nonnet and his family offer superb gourmet cuisine: the food is just exceptional.  Other cheaper alternatives are available around the town.

Parking:

Private parking available for 6 Euros, else there is ample street space.

Director’s comment:

If tavelling south from Paris, there's no better place to stay and especially dine than La Cognette. For us, the restaurant was simply magnificent !
