| Things to do: | Issoudun was a pilgrimage town and still has some visible medieval roots. The museum of the Hospice Saint-Roche is well worth visiting and there is still a sixteenth century town gate standing, and also the famous White Tower, a distinctive high cylindrical edifice. Not far to the Loire, the Lot or Burgundy with chateaux and vineyards all around. | |

| Director’s comment: | If tavelling south from Paris, there’s no better place to stay and especially dine than La Cognette. For us, the restaurant was simply magnificent ! | |
